We're On It - The Triad Farm Tour

"Grab your cooler, program your GPS, and get ready to see some of the best farms in the area. This year's Triad Farm Tour will introduce you up close and personal to some of the farms that give you local organic food. You can meet the farmers and their livestock, see their crops, and buy their goods. (That's why you need that cooler!) The cost is $10 per farm PER CAR, or $30 for all the farms on the tour both days! If you purchase tickets in advance, all farm tickets are only $25. Two days of fun for the whole family and a neighbor or two - that's a steal! The tour is sponsored by The Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA), a membership-based non-profit organization that helps people in the Carolinas grow and eat local, organic foods by advocating for fair farm and food policies, building the systems family farms need to thrive, and educating communities about local, organic agriculture. One of the best ways to support local, organic and sustainable food is to know your farmer and what they offer. This tour is a great way to start. Please come!
