The Mill is Online!

"The new mill is in service! After being trucked in (with a load of hay!) all the way from Wisconsin, after being installed in the building, and hooking up augers...after hours of figuring and wiring and sweating...Reedy Fork Farms Organic Feed Mill is now mixing feed for our cows - and for your animals, too. It really is gratifying to see how the mill works, and watching the augers bring the grain from the bins into the mill itself, then grind the feed the way we want it to be ground. Actually seeing it doing what it is supposed to do just feels nice. Right now, we're still manually entering proportions. The next step is to get the computer online to do this for us. An efficiency analyst told us we'll be almost twice as efficient when this is done - and we think he may have under estimated. So stay tuned. We'll keep you posted!"
