"We hear of lots of folks who have a dream of moving to the country and starting a farm. If that's you, here's a great place to start turning that dream into a reality. On February 7, the NC Cooperative in Person County is holding an all day workshop on starting a farm. It's designed for those with little or no farming experience. They'll cover topics like what you need for your livestock and crops, what equipment you'll need, how much money you'll need, and how much you're risking. Seminar titles include ""Good Land Cheap"", ""I Need a Big Tractor"", and ""What Can Go Wrong?"" The event will be held at the Person County Office Building Auditorium, located at 304 S. Morgan St. in Roxboro, NC. Pre-register before January first. The cost is $25 per person, or $40 for two, and includes speakers, materials and lunch. For more information, click here."
