"Last year's organic corn prices were sky high. We had a hard time finding corn to go into our feed, and when we found it, we had to pay those sky high prices plus the cost of shipping it. Then we had to pass the cost along to you. Thankfully, prices went down somewhat, as did the price of our feed.
This year, in order to avoid another corn crisis, we decided to grow our own organic corn. We've done so in the past, but stopped because of how labor intensive corn is. It was just more efficient to outsource. But that has changed, and we've got another corn crop of 70 acres in this year.
We do whatever it takes to keep our cows fed, and to keep our feed mill producing the very best organic feed available, so that you can keep your animals fed, too!
